Translation
I love this place, my own paradise of old wood and meadow flowers. Repro is probably not so much for me. In the morning, the sun shines in and makes the room into a sauna, but then I won't go up. I remain in my bed and looks at the flowers. From the ceiling hangs wilted flower bouquets, grandfather's old fiddle joins them together with a few well-selected LPs. In the shelf on  the wall stands the books in a row. Most Bibles, dictionaries and hymn books because they are so beautiful but also a lot of adventure books from the 40's that I'm reading. The pots at the window and the radio table at the mirror, I found at grandmother's farm when I was there, as well as the enamel pitchers.
If I could choose, I would repaint in some darker color. Now I have to fill the walls with darker colors, old wood, textiles and flowers to cover the white paint. Bright and fresh is nothing for me, the same with pastels.

Have you ever experienced that you changed the perception of someone when you seen their homes? Many have said that they could not imagine that my room would look like this. Why I do not know.
How did you think my room looked?

  1. Hej Caroline, thank you for this inspiration! Your home looks like a perfect refuge. Like from a different world... I just moved and could not take all my old pieces with me - and the new place really feels awkwardly empty and void of history. Some trips to thrift shops need to change that - and I will take you as inspiration! Tack sa mycket!
